Featuring a three-way seed-to-soil contact system, these overseeders excel in promoting robust germination and emergence, all while maintaining the solid benefits of a full-width seeding pattern. You have the flexibility to select either straight or curved knives, which deftly create slits in the ground, ready to receive the seed. The inclusion of fluted seed cups ensures precise metering of the desired seed quantity in a broadcast pattern, guaranteeing exceptional metering accuracy. The robust cast-iron packer wheels cap off the process by firmly pressing and packing the seed into the soil, effectively eliminating most air pockets. Tailor your overseeder to your needs by choosing between the gauge-wheel drive option or the rear-roller drive, which allows for close planting near sidewalks and obstacles. With Land Pride's OS15 Series Solid Stand Overseeders, you'll achieve impeccable results in your crop, turf and seeding projects. What it plants best: • Turf and Lawns: Standard lawn and pasture grasses (like fescue). • Legumes and Forage: Alfalfa, clover, and various pasture blends. • Food Plots & Cover Crops: Rye, brassicas, and small grains/peas. The Land Pride OS1572 (Solid Stand Overseeder) is normally used to plant turf grass seeds and general lawn renovation or establishment mixes, though it can also handle a variety of pasture or forage seeds ranging from alfalfa to peas. Key Seeding Capabilities • Primary Seed Box: Equipped with standard fluted seed cups designed for uniform delivery of turf grass seeds and various small-to-medium agricultural/landscaping seeds. • Optional Small Seeds Box: Available as an add-on attachment if you need to plant very fine or small seeds (such as smaller grasses or specialty mixes). • Slit-Seeder Action: Its rotating knives slice shallow grooves (about a quarter-inch deep) into the soil to tuck seeds in and improve moisture contact rather than deep-drilling row crops like corn or soybean planters do.
