Overview
Updated for 2023 with simplicity, durability, and serviceability in mind — the S18 remains the ideal entry-level, grass handling Walker Mower that is light-on-the-turf, productive, and versatile.
It features the patented Grass Handling System using a newly designed 12.5 inch, two-piece blower assembly with Thru-Shaft PTO providing powerful suction and leaving a clean, smooth cut. With thicker scroll and backplate, the two-piece blower is not only more durable, but repairs or replacement are now much easier.
Mower blades and powered attachments are now driven by an electric Ogura PTO clutch with Soft Start technology, simplifying maintenance and providing easy, worry-free operation of the PTO in any season.
The engine drive belt has been updated to a single, B-groove design and has been rerouted to reduce slippage and greatly increases belt life.
48" Multi Deck (DU48-3)
Designed to be a single mower solution for both manicured turf and rougher field-type grass, the Walker Multi-Deck is your way to tackle both collection and side discharge mowing applications. The Multi-Deck allows you to effectively match the deck configuration to varying property types, and grass conditions throughout the growing season. Whether collecting thick, spring turf or side-discharging dryer season grass, the Multi-Deck is an easy and cost effective solution for your unique needs.
A key feature of the Multi-Deck is the belt drive design which delivers reduced noise, improved durability, and common rotating blades that allow both collection and side-discharge mowing. The unique belt tensioner mechanism utilizes a gas spring dampener for increased belt life, and also provides belt changes without requiring tools.
The Multi-Deck's collection capability is impressive, and combined with Walker’s proven Grass Handling System® (GHS), makes grass collection fast, easy, and enjoyable. To convert the deck from collection to discharge, remove the end-cap from the deck housing and install the discharge chute baffle and side discharge chute.
Just like other Walker decks, the underside of the deck housing and blades are accessible with the tilt-up function. The inset position of the left caster tire is aligned with the left mowing blade to optimize cut quality while also enhancing trimming performance on the left side of the mowing deck. The Multi-Deck uses Walker's torsion-flex carrier frame to freely articulate and follow ground contour for a beautiful cut
