Redexim Introduces Two Additions To Verti-Cut Scarifier Lineup
Redexim recently announced two new machines to its Verti-Cut lineup, the Verti-Cut 1600 and the Verti-Cut 2000, which offer wider working widths and scarification depths of up to 50 millimetres (1.95 inches). The new models will be available in the spring.
Encourage Healthy Turf
Verti-Cut uses specially designed carbide-tipped blades to encourage healthy turf by cutting lateral growth of grass roots and removing dead plant material. This provides more space for root and shoots to grow as well as better airflow and water penetration which results in more uniform, vigorous growth.
Comparing The New Models
Both the 1600 and the 2000 are tractor-mounted and power take-off (PTO)-driven with a drive system that utilises chain for constant drive to the blades. The Verti-Cut 1600 has a 1.6-m (63-in.) working width and covers 8 square metres (86 square feet) per hour, best for smaller, undulating surfaces like golf greens. The Verti-Cut 2000 has a 2-m (78.7-in.) width and can cover up to 10 square metres 7.64 square feet) per hour, making it ideal for large spaces such as sports fields. Verti-Cut’s working depth can easily be adjusted with alterations to the front roller.
Blade Options
Each model comes with 2-mm blades spaced 30 mm (1.18 in.) apart with an optional spacing kit to increase the space to 58 mm (2.28 in.). Optional 1- and 3-mm blades are also available.
