John Deere Announces New Petrol-Powered Additions To ZTrak ZTR Range
John Deere recently announced it has added two new petrol models and two rear-discharge decks to the ZTrak ZTR range of ride-on mowers. The zero-turn mowers are designed to work in restricted spaces and boast a heavy-duty frame that includes a rollover protection system (ROPS). High-gauge PRO steel rotary cutting decks have a deep mowing chamber to handle more grass and increase airflow for a quality cut even at maximum speed. Both new mowers have easy access for servicing and on-board diagnostics.
About The ZTrak ZTR Range
The Z740R semi-commercial mower has a Kawasaki 23.5-horsepower (17.5-kilowatt) commercial-grade petrol engine and a choice of high-capacity 122- or 137-centimetre (48- or 54-inch) side-discharge decks. The Z950R commercial mower has a 27-HP (20-kW) Kawasaki petrol engine and 137- or 152-cm (54- or 60-in.) side-discharge and 152-cm rear-discharge deck options. Both mowers have an adjustable operator platform and ComfortGlide suspension seat with easy access to a quick-change height-of-cut dial and on-the-go tracking adjustments.
The Z994R and Z997R have 24.7- and 37.4-HP (18.4- and 28-kW) Stage V diesel engines, respectively, and can now be fitted with a 152-cm side-discharge or a 152- or 183-cm (72-in.) rear-discharge deck in addition to the previous side-discharge options. The new rear-discharge decks use a single-belt deck design for easy maintenance and are mulching-enabled for a cleaner finish.
The new ZTRs feature Michelin X Tweel Turf airless radial tyres which have the same dimensions and bolt pattern as standard tyres, but have automotive rubber technology that allows the tread to last up to three times longer than traditional pneumatic tyres. The Tweel also reduces ground compaction and provides a more comfortable ride.
